While searching through the aisles of the grocery store, we read the number of nutrients on the packaging to know if we are opting for the healthiest option. The problem is that we fail to realize that the majority of the item placed on those cabinets contains preservatives and chemicals. Then what is the alternative to this situation? Healthy organic food is the solution to having a healthy diet.  

Our diet mainly comprises processed and canned foods. The purpose of these chemicals is to preserve the food item for the lengthiest time duration. Whereas, in some cases, chemicals are added to the crops in the form of pesticides and fertilizers to trigger growth. Chicken and cows are given injections and chemical-oriented feeds for fattening and to produce more milk and eggs.

In short, those chemicals enter our body via the food we eat, which can be harmful. Furthermore, such items do not have the required nutrition.

Organic food items are known to be healthier than conventional food. You can find healthy organic food in local stores or small markets. Most of the food is served fresh in the market, because it does not contain preservatives, so it does not have an extended expiry date. Choosing healthy organic food is better than buying frozen meat and canned beans as it is fresh.

The traces or percentage of a toxic chemical, cadmium, are higher in conventional crops than the organic crops. It is due to the use of pesticides and synthetic fertilizers. Pesticide residue is left on the vegetables and fruits that we consume which can result in health issues. On the other hand, for healthy organic food, the residue can be much less harmful as the ingredients of the pesticides are mainly natural or approved by the organic farming standards.

GMO food is produced via conventional methods. The disadvantage of consuming GMO food is that it may cause an allergic reaction due to the altered DNA. Another con is that it builds resistance against antibiotics in the body. Therefore, the safer option is healthy organic food

The meat produces via conventional means is known to have a higher percentage of bacteria. When we consume this meat, it exposes the body to various bacteria, damaging the immune system and health. The body becomes more resistant to antibiotics, due to which only high potency medication works, which has a lot of side effects.

Better for the animals

Organic methods mean to breed and provide the animals under natural conditions. The animals are fed with natural feed such as cows eat grass. They are given outside access rather than being trapped in the farms their entire lives. When the animals are injected with hormones to either produce more milk or eggs. The quality of the product they produce and the health of the animal itself is compromising. Therefore, you should opt for healthy organic food.
